  • Margret Plank is head of the Lab for non-textual information. The Lab NTM analyzes user needs and requirements regarding discoverability, citation and reuse of scientific videos, 3D models, images, graphics, research data and software. Based on these requirements, user-centered services, tools and infrastructures are developed in close cooperation with the scientific communities. Margret Plank holds an MA in Information Science and Media Studies from the University of Hildesheim and has previously worked there as a researcher at the Institute of Information Studies and Language. She has led and contributed to several projects in the area of non-textual media. She represents TIB on a number of boards including the IFLA’s (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) Audiovisual and Multimedia Section and serves as reviewer and chair for various conferences and journals, including the International Council of Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) and GreyNet International.
