• Bastian Drees studied Physics in Münster and obtained a PhD from the University of Heidelberg in 2014 and completed a traineeship as a librarian (Bibliotheksreferendariat) at TIB and the Bavarian State Library (BSB) from 2014-2016. He works in the Competence Centre for non-textual Materials in the Research and Development Department of TIB. He is responsible for the outreach to the scientific communities and the dissemination and communication of relevant services. A large part of his work focuses on identifying user needs and integrating them in the development of new services for audiovisual media.
